2008 Australian Historic Road Racing Championships - Wanneroo

The HCMC of WA is proud to announce that they will be hosting the 2008 National Championships at Barbagallo Raceway, Wanneroo - Western Australia on:

21st, 22nd and 23rd November 2008

Come and battle it out with other Aussies for the honour of becoming Australian Champion for 2008, and join them for the following weekend at Australia's newest racetrack, the Collie Powerhouse Circuit situated 2 hours south of Perth for an informal raceday the following Sunday (30th November). A great track for the historics and free overnight camping is available.

A full program of events is envisaged for the 2008 Australian Historic Road Racing Championships weekend with garage facilities, Avgas pump, power and water available along with full catering and motorcycle displays. Those who have raced at Barbagallo Raceway, Wanneroo will tell inform you of what a great track it is to race on with smooth and "grippy" surface making for great racing in a safe environment. Combine these with very helpful and friendly competitors and officials and you are guaranteed a great weekends racing.

How it all started!
Classic Motorcycling Australia was told the sad news that Phyllis Greening passed away in her sleep at about 11pm on the 24th May 2002.

Phyllis was a great inspiration to giving Allan his passion in racing at an early age.

We are all saddened at the loss of such a great woman. Phyllis will be sadly missed by all of her family.
